Sabiflor, a Czech registered veterinary product, is designed to support the immune system of dogs. It is used in the recovery of acutely and chronically ill dogs , dogs after surgery or to accelerate the regeneration of dogs under stress (for example, after sports performances). It contains nucleotides, prebiotics and the amino acids lysine and tryptophan, necessary for the proper functioning of the body's immune processes.

The mechanism of action of Sabiflor is twofold:

1) supplies the body with nucleotides necessary for the formation of the nuclei of newly formed cells

- the largest amount of cells is formed by the organism during the regeneration of tissues, intestinal mucosa and hematopoiesis
- intestinal mucosa and blood cells (including white blood cells and macrophages) are directly involved in the proper function of immunity
- the consumption of nucleotides increases during the activation of immunity - during illness, healing or regeneration

2) supports the growth of healthy microflora in the intestines, which is necessary for the proper functioning of the immunity of (not only) dogs
- fruco-oligosaccharides nourish "friendly" bacteria in the intestines, which help with digestion (breakdown of nutrients from food) and prevent colonization of the intestine by pathogens.

The importance of nucleotides is already well described and they are therefore added to infant formulas, special formulas for seniors and convalescents or elite athletes. Normally, the body can make them itself from food, which is a complex and energy-consuming process, but it has been proven that their direct administration in food has a beneficial effect during times of stress.

Sabiflor will help dogs:

• during convalescence after acute illnesses, during chronic illnesses and after surgical procedures
• for better functioning of immunity
• to better manage stressful situations (e.g. travel, regime changes)
• by supporting the correct colonization of the intestines with beneficial bacteria
• in puppies after weaning
